Figures from the end of the year showed that GMLC won over £1 million for benefits clients in 2021. This was mostly through our support with appeals, where clients can be due thousands in backdated pay where they have been underpaid. It was also from the results of our form-filling, where we support claimants through the DWP’s complicated application process.
