Last week in Belfast, members of the Law Centres Network voted to officially recognise the Greater Manchester Law Centre. This is fantastic news and credit is due to all those that have helped with the accelerated development of a community law centre.
With funding secured for a supervising solicitor for the next 3 years, a free service up and running with a student-run service ready to launch, a newly renovated premises, the future is looking bright. However, there is much work to be done. Volunteers and the community will continue to be the backbone of the law centre’s success.
