GMLC will be taking part in the Peterloo March for Democracy on Sunday 18th August.
This is part of activities commemorating the Bi-Centenary 1819-2019 of the Peterloo Massacre.
This was the bloody beginning of a two-centuries long struggle by working people for electoral reform and the right to vote, in order to gain greater influence and political representation in Parliament. In addition to this, to gain greater democratic and civil rights at work and in society as a whole.
GMLC is part of the movements continuing the struggle for these demands to be met.
