Volunteers are the backbone of the law centre.

Volunteers work at our premises to assist with the services we offer to the public. We are looking for receptionists, welfare benefits application assistants or welfare benefits case workers.

If you share our passion for social justice and would like to assist in delivering our aspiration to be the leading community Law Centre in Britain, please get in touch.

Services volunteers must have at least one day per week to dedicate to working on our premises.

We also have a second volunteer stream to help with our campaigns, community outreach, fundraising, social media presence and more. This stream is more flexible, and so is suitable for volunteers with demanding schedules. If you would like to join the campaign and fundraising volunteer team, please click here. You can join both teams.

Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us if you have any other skills to offer. We are running an office and sometimes need a handywoman/man. Or you can help with transport to events, bake a cake… anything, please get in touch with development@gmlaw.org.uk.

To apply to join our Services Volunteer Team,

  • Download the three role descriptions and consider which one is best for you
  • Download and complete the relevant application form
  • Send it to the address stated in the application form, and in your cover letter or email, state which role you are applying for.
